Portion of the rock formations at sites centre

These natural forms are sheathed in lichens and moss that subtly change in colour and tone with the seasons. In winter their soft eroded forms rise from a blanket of snow against the soft sinuous lines of the alpine eucalypts. The design of the thick external walls of the house uses grey concrete sprayed against temporary plywood formwork. Its as if you were building a timber boat upside down, spraying it with concrete and then stripping the timber out from the inside. In time with the growth of lichen and moss the very rough wood float finished concrete walls mirror the colours and textures of the rocks.
