Grampians rock wall

At least 15,000 years ago, whilst still hunter gatherers and well before the beginnings of sedentary civilization, our ancestors began exploring in built form their understanding of the geometries and organisation of the universe.

Exploring the invisible nature of matter.

These early ancestors erecting large complex structures requiring great organisation maintained over centuries.

We have been ordering space continuously since.

The tools at hand have evolved from flint into lasers. From mud into silicone, yet the fundamental impulse driving us to create is unaltered.

Our structures being prisms through which we locate ourselves within the order of the natural world.
